Lochard Secures Contract to Update Noise Management Systems at 15 Swedish Airports 打å°

LFV has chosen Lochard’s ANOMS 8 platform to update its noise management systems which have been operational since 1999. The update will include WebTrak which enables the community to view flight tracks over the Web. Lochard was chosen for its specialist expertise in multi airport systems enabling the efficient management of noise across 15 airports throughout Sweden to be handled centrally, whilst still permitting specific local activity where appropriate.

The strict environmental court legislation under which LFV operates requires a high level of data completeness and accuracy. The ANOMS 8 platform, supplemented by Lochard’s NoiseOffice services, will deliver data improvements which will in turn increase the completeness and accuracy of the noise calculations in the system. Such an approach is becoming increasingly common as it delivers superior data quality whilst simultaneously freeing up airport staff to focus on working directly with the community and external stakeholders.

Lochard’s WebTrak will provide increased community engagement possibilities enabling community members to view flight information from around the airports, self-investigation and complaint submission all within a familiar Internet environment. Displaying the same information used to manage the noise issues internally in LFV, WebTrak delivers to the community the transparency that many have been asking for. WebTrak has been successfully engaging communities around US and UK airports for a number of years, this will be the first non English implementation of the technology.

Phil Stollery, Vice President of Lochard in Europe commented: “The productivity gains from using the new ANOMS noise management platform are clearly demonstrated in this situation where 15 airports are managed by a small team of people distributed throughout the country. The externally hosted architecture means any airport can be accessed from any location. WebTrak will further enhance LFV’s reputation for accessibility and transparency when dealing with the public on environmental issues. We are thrilled to be able to continue our long working relationship with LFV.”
