YVR is known for its proactive community outreach and making every effort to minimize noise disturbance from aircraft operations. By upgrading the existing noise monitoring and flight tracking system YVR will be able to take advantage of the superior precision and reliability of Lochard’s latest model Environment Monitoring Units (EMUs) and the cohesive and integrated features of ANOMS 8.

Planned for YVR will be WebTrak; the web-based application that provides transparency of information to the airport’s local community. Anyone will be able to view both real-time and historical replay of flight tracks and noise via a simple to use web interface. WebTrak Investigate provides the ability to self-investigate disturbances related to aircraft, lodge complaint reports and view operational reports and customized overlays such as noise contours. WebTrak Display and Investigate are some of the cutting edge applications provided by Lochard’s WebTrak Suite which also includes noise abatement program management and carbon management modules.
