WebTrak Investigate 

WebTrak Investigate provides users with the opportunity to search in more detail about flights and noise as it relates to their situation, and lodge complaints online if desired. It personalizes the information at a user level , shifting the focus from general to very specific information, really making the user feel involved and part of the process.

How Does This Make Life Easier?

By allowing investigation of flight and noise data, airports will:

  • enhance the public perception through transparency and interaction;
  • reduce the level of operational support required for enquiries;
  • engage in more meaningful dialogue with the community; thus
  • lowering the temperature of the initial interaction with community

WebTrak Investigate adds the ability for the user to:

  • Locate an address on the map
  • Select a specific flight
  • Display a graphic showing the distance from the aircraft to the address
  • Display operational details about the aircraft, including noise measured by your Noise Monitoring Terminal
  • Submit an inquiry and include details about the aircraft and noise event
  • Receive confirmation that the inquiry has been received and
  • for the airport to immediately investigate the exact view that the complainant has seen and respond accordingly
The ability to locate their house on the map and search for flights and noise in the vicinity gives stakeholders an opportunity to find details that the airport would otherwise spend time answering. And if users cannot find the answers, WebTrak Investigate guides them through a sequence of steps in which accurate information about their contacts and the details and nature of enquiry is sent to airports by e-mail.

WebTrak MyNeighborhood places the individual flight operations shown in WebTrak into an overall context showing the long term flight and noise impact on the communities immediately surrounding the airport.

WebTrak MyNeighborhood shows easy to understand alternative noise metrics and noise contours, placed in the context of average daily impacts throughout the region.

Providing this sort of specific information to users will:

  • assist in user understanding of airport operations over a longer term; thus
