 | KEY FEATURES- Creates contours simply and accurately
- Uses data from any Lochard monitoring system
- Runs INM and other noise and emission models
- Learns translation rules to enable best practice to be automated and standardized
- Understands INM data dependencies, negating the need for in-depth user knowledge of the data
- Includes the ICAO Emissions inventory Based on Windows .NET and XML
Lochard Scenario Builder (LSB™) simplifies and automates the creation of noise contours and emissions inventory based on the historical operations information stored in your existing Lochard noise monitoring system. This powerful but easy to use forecasting interface allows many predictive operating scenarios to be realized in INM (Integrated Noise Model) within moments. Designed to be easy to learn and use, with LSB, any user can now create noise contours rapidly with reproducible results. |  | What is LSB?LSB is a standalone, Windows-based application that: - Imports data from your existing Lochard monitoring system;
- Ensures the data is compatible with the model being used (e.g. INM);
- Allows extensive data manipulation and what-if creation; and
- Exports compiled data into the target modeling environment.
LSB interfaces to a variety of models including the FAA INM, the ICAO EIM (Emissions Inventory Model), as well as others. LSB OverviewTo create contours or emissions inventory is a simple 4-step process: - EXTRACT data from the monitoring system for a specific date range.
Extracted data include: - Operations information.
- Airport information (coordinates, altitude, etc.)
- Route information, including dispersion information where available.
- VALIDATE data by comparing key information (aircraft type, stage length, engine type, route, etc.) against valid values for the target-modeling environment. LSB can be made to save new translation rules for future use.
- RUN historical contours directly, or CREATE what-if scenarios simply by adjusting data in a table.
What-if manipulation abilities include: - Manual entry of operations by aircraft type, stage length, route, time of day, etc.
- Reassignment of historical information to alternative forecast values (e.g. assignment to alternative route, alternative aircraft type).
- Complex allocation of historical information (assignment of historical values across multiple alternative values by percentage – e.g. 50% of route A is allocated to route X, 50% to route Y, etc.)
- Uplift of historical information (e.g. increase all 747-400 flights by 10%).
- Automatic leveling of departures and arrivals by aircraft type.
- IMPORT contours into your Lochard monitoring system for display on the map and in reports.

The Benefits of LSB- Allows non-expert users to create valid input for INM and other modeling environments, and to produce the contours.
- "Learns" the data correlation rules for your airport so that model preparation becomes quicker each time it is undertaken.
- Interfaces to several modeling environments – produce INM contours and ICAO emissions inventory using the same tools.
- Unlocks the historic information within your Lochard monitoring system to create historical contours, or as a basis for future scenario creation.
- Includes automatic leveling algorithm to balance input data with unequal arrivals and departures by aircraft type.
- Allows sophisticated scenario creation using manipulation and allocation rule sets.
- Includes a user-friendly windows interface.
