BAA Migrate to ANOMS 8 Print
02 Jun 2005
London, UK --- Following an intensive global selection process, BAA - the world’s leading airport company - has selected Lochard to help design and implement a major upgrade to its Noise and Track Keeping systems.

BAA has decided to migrate to Lochard’s next generation ANOMS 8 platform for their noise management system at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted Airports.
Jane Dawes, Airside Environment Manager at London’s Heathrow Airport and the Project Sponsor said "This is an important part of BAA’s management of environmental issues. Noise remains one of the key issues of concern for our neighbours and this project to update and improve our Noise and Track Keeping systems is the latest step in our continuing investment in systems and processes. The systems are used to monitor performance as part of our work with National Air Traffic Services, the airlines and our local communities to make improvements. Following our recent selection processes, we believe that Lochard’s technologies will present the most comprehensive and sophisticated approach currently available in this field to contribute to noise management at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted."

BAA are working with Lochard to design a more up-to-date and comprehensive IT system to help BAA manage noise issues, including monitoring adherence to the noise measures in place at these Airports, such as departure routes and noise limits, managing the night noise restrictions and dealing with enquiries and complaints.

Martin Adams, Chief Executive Officer at Lochard was delighted with the outcome. "BAA is globally recognised as a leader in airport noise and environment management and we look forward to working with them to deploy ANOMS System 8 to support this important part of BAA’s environmental issues management."

Lochard reports enthusiastic demand for ANOMS System 8 since its recent release, with over 20 airports migrating to the next generation solution including San Diego, San Francisco and Birmingham (UK).
