Boston, MA --- Lochard, the world's leading supplier of Airport Noise and Flight Track Monitoring systems, today announced that the San Francisco Internal Airport Commission has approved a contract for Lochard to replace the SFO Airport Noise Management System. The new system will be amongst the most advanced ever assembled, replacing the existing noise office infrastructure and delivering operations applications throughout the airport including Finance, Public Relations, Operations and Customer Service. "SFO has long track record of leadership in airport noise management through its innovative noise reduction initiatives and community roundtable. Like all airports, we are being asked to do more with less, hence our decision to go with the industry leader Lochard. The state of the art ANOMS™ System 8 will enable us to continue to improve our noise office efficiency by allowing our team to focus on the community initiatives, whilst Lochard delivers the technology", said Mike McCarron, SFO Director of Community Affairs. The system will be based on Lochard's latest ANOMS™ System 8 product suite with 29 fixed and 4 portable internet based EMU™ noise monitors to deliver unmatched accuracy and reliability. The current passive radar will be replaced with Lochard's innovative new SkyTrak™, a live Mode S passive radar that will drive the SFO community web site and deliver accurate flight data throughout the airport. This information will also yield better revenue collection and operations management. The contract award comes after Lochard's significant R&D investment yielded its broadest and deepest product and service suite ever. "SFO is a clear leader in the development of airport noise management best practice. We're proud to be working with SFO team and using ANOMS System 8 to help take their noise program to the next level." said Mike Rikard-Bell, President of Lochard Corporation. Lochard's announcement comes amidst a series of new project announcements for the company, and is being read as the industry's vote of confidence in the new product suite. The new system is scheduled for commissioning in Q3, 2004. |
