Lochard operates Seven R.O.C. Taiwanese Airport Noise Abatement Offices Print
02 Mar 2004

Melbourne, Australia --- Lochard, the world's leading supplier of Airport Noise and Flight Track Monitoring systems, today announced it has been awarded a contract to operate noise abatement offices at 7 key airports in Taiwan.

Lochard, in partnership with Taipei-based Character Technologies, has been engaged to provide its NoiseOffice™ managed noise services to all seven major airports operated by the Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) of R.O.C. Taiwan. Through staff located at each of the airports (Taipei, Chungcheng, Kaohsiung, Taichung, Taitung, Makung and Quemoy) and at an operations centre in Taipei, Lochard and Character Technologies provide guaranteed system availability, and a comprehensive range of reports on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Lochard is traditionally recognized as the leader in the provision of airport environment management technology with systems installed in over 120 airports globally. Since 911, airports have been driving efficiency gains and are looking for more complete noise office solutions. In response, Lochard developed its NoiseOffice™ managed noise service to deliver a broad range of noise office outcomes. Lochard's NoiseOffice™ services are already being delivered to twenty airports, making Lochard a leading force in this rapidly growing sector.

"We launched NoiseOffice™ in response to requests from our customers for richer solutions, guaranteed outcomes, lower costs and, perhaps most importantly, the need for airport staff to focus on generating and maintaining environmental capacity without having to run the systems and technologies" said Axel Bensch, Vice-President of Lochard Asia-Pacific.

"We commenced this partnership in January 2004 ensuring the existing systems were running smoothly. Our next focus will be to deploy our new ANOMS™ System 8 technology into R.O.C. Taiwan's flagship Chiang Kai Chek airport, so that we can support the CAA's new initiatives in environmental capacity management" he added.
