Lochard wins market breakthrough in Korea

Jeju Airport has awarded Lochard a tender for the implementation of ANOMS - Lochard's integrated aircraft noise and flight tracking system. The tender includes six fixed EMU 1100s with audio playback/recording functionality and one EMU 1200 portable unit for use in a noise monitoring vehicle. A copy of iVIEW will also be provided to help the airport communicate airspace procedures to the community. Commissioning of the project will occur in third quarter of 2003. Jeju, Korea's largest island, is a vacation spot and an international meeting place located in the southwest seas off the Korean peninsula. "This is a market break-through for Lochard," says Axel Bensch, Vice President Sales - Asia Pacific. "It's evidence of our focus and commitment to the Asian market." According to Axel, Lochard's depth in products and services, coupled with the local expertise of Sam Woo Environmental Consultancy Co. Ltd., Lochard’s partner in Korea, will ensure the success of this project.
