FRONTPAGE_NO_TRANSLATION_AVAILABLE Mineta - San Jose International Airport (SJC) has replaced its Airport Monitor System with a comprehensive WebTrak 2.0 solution that provides public access to SJC flight, noise and weather information in near real-time. The system, deployed in only 5 days, is a quantum leap in public display technology for airports. WebTrak 2.0 displays historical data, aircraft positions and altitude, flight information and any recorded noise levels. In addition, users can easily select their location to see what’s relevant to their area and enter queries and complaints online, directly to the airport’s noise management system. “We have had a long-standing commitment to provide our community with convenient access to information about our airport’s operations,” said SJC Operations Manager Curt Eikerman. “We selected WebTrak because it met our specifications that enable us to use new technology and improve our service for our neighbors.” Mineta San Jose International is the 10th US airport, and the 16th airport worldwide to deploy WebTrak. “WebTrak 2.0 really raises the bar in airport community outreach and we are thrilled by the response from airports around the globe. WebTrak 2.0 invites communities to learn about procedures around the airport and gives them opportunities to see airport operations and the noise they create for themselves. This greater understanding helps to build tolerance and streamlines communication which is good for everyone.” - Robert Brodecky, VP Lochard Americas. As airports become increasingly aware that community engagement is vital to their operation the growing challenge is how to realize the best results for both the airport and its communities. The convenience and immediacy of WebTrak goes a long way to satisfying all these needs.
